World AIDS Day is observed annually on December 1st. The World Health Organization established the day in 1988 to provide individuals and organizations with an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of the global fight against HIV and AIDS.

In the United States, an estimated 1.1 million people are HIV-positive and nearly one in five of those people are unaware of their infection. Worldwide, approximately 35 million people are living with HIV.

Join people from around the world in raising awareness about the fight against HIV and AIDS. Use the following resources as individuals or organizations to promote World AIDS Day.
