Each year, the Indianapolis performing arts community collaborates on Spotlight: Seeing Red, the largest HIV fundraising event of its kind in the Midwest. This year’s edition will feature 24 performing arts organizations, including new acts such as the Indianapolis City Ballet, Know No Stranger, and the Indianapolis production of Monty Python’s “Spamalot.” The event raises more than $400,000 annually for HIV testing and prevention programs across the state of Indiana while additionally raising HIV awareness. Spotlight: Seeing Red 2013 will be held April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Clowes Memorial Hall, Butler University, 4602 Sunset Ave. For further information, visit http://indianaaidsfund.org/Spotlight2013/. One out of every 625 Indiana residents has been diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, and since December 2012, one new case has been reported each day.
