Emory HIV Team Lands $6 M Gates Foundation Grant

Abstract
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation recently awarded a $6 million grant to researchers at Emory University to find an effective HIV/AIDS vaccine. The grant was part of the Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery, an international network of researchers working on a variety of HIV vaccination candidates with the goal of advancing the most promising candidates. Dr. Bali Pulendran will lead the Emory team, which includes researchers from the Emory Vaccine Center and the Yerkes National Primate Research Center.
