This weekend marks the second staging of the “Empty Your Drawers” fund drive of the AIDS Emergency Fund’s “Every Penny Counts” campaign. Lance Brittain, EPC coordinator, said the “penny posse” will be on hand at the Castro Muni station, Castro at Market streets, on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. to encourage passers-by to donate their spare change. Since 1987, EPC has raised more than $3 million, with 100 percent of the money going directly to help pay the living expenses of AEF clients. To join the all-volunteer penny posse, telephone Britain at 415-558-6999 ext. 232, or send an e-mail to lance.brittain@aef-sf.org.
