New Law Expands HIV Testing in Delaware

Abstract
On Wednesday, National HIV Testing Day, Gov. Jack Markell signed into law SB 162, which implements CDC’s recommendation that HIV testing should be included among standard medical tests. Patients retain the right to decline HIV testing. An estimated 800 state residents have HIV and do not know it, according to the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services.
