Free HIV and Hepatitis Testing

Abstract
Thanks to a $13,000 grant, the Cerro Gordo Department of Public Health is offering free HIV and hepatitis C testing to high-risk individuals. Betty Krones, a disease prevention specialist with CGDPH, noted many of those in the target population cannot afford the testing. “One-third of people with HIV aren’t aware that they have the disease,” she added. For more information, telephone CGDPH at 641-421-9300.
