Mo. Black Population Has Higher HIV Rates Abstract The rate of newly diagnosed HIV cases is eight times higher for black Missourians than their white counterparts, the state Health Department said recently. The disparity is particularly high among black females, according to health officials, who are urging regular testing for HIV and other STDs.
