Myrtle Point Board Says No to Giving Birth Control

Abstract
A plan to allow the high school in Myrtle Point to distribute condoms to students was rejected Monday night in a 5-1 vote by the School Board. The issue came before the board after several students requested condoms from a school counselor. One community member spoke in favor of the proposal before the vote, whose outcome drew applause from the small audience of parents and faculty.
