When you visit the NPIN Resource Center you can:
- Access a wide range of hard-to-find prevention education resources on a variety of HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB topics
- Conduct online searches of NPIN databases and Internet resources
- Peruse the NPIN collection of health-related periodicals and reference materials
- Acquire copies of CDC and NPIN publications
- Participate in training sessions on accessing HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB resources
The collection includes audiocassettes, brochures, books, directories, guides, manuals, journals, games, kits, CD-ROMs, newsletters, newspapers, posters, reports, slides, and videotapes. Also available to visitors are computers and video-viewing rooms.

Visitors of the NPIN Resource Center must comply with these policies:
- Make appointments—Please call ahead for an appointment so staff will be ready to assist you.
- Sign in—All visitors are asked to sign in and complete a registration form. The registration form provides staff with information they need to serve you better.
- Photocopy materials—Materials may be photocopied but not borrowed.
- Handle with care—Many of the materials are irreplaceable originals. Please take extra care in reviewing resource items.
The NPIN Resource and Training Center on the CDC campus in Atlanta offers a collection of HIV/AIDS, STD and TB resources including a one of a kind historical database of HIV/AIDS educational materials developed since the beginning of the epidemic.
Other materials include STD and TB resources and general resources in social marketing, health communications and prevention education. The NPIN Collection maintains a stock of NPIN publications available for distribution.
The NPIN Resource Center staff supports conferences and meetings with the distribution and promotion of NPIN materials—brochures, pamphlets, videos, etc.—and provides technical assistance and capacity building to the public health community and grantees through a variety of library and information services.
