Supporting the Implementation and Capacity Building of HIV/AIDS Prevention Interventions for Youth Using Evidence- Based Approaches in South Africa under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

Grant Amount: Approximate Current Fiscal Year Funding: $6,000,000; Approximate Total Project Period Funding: $30,000,000.
The purpose of this FOA is to assist South Africa to implement quality and evidence-based prevention programs targeting young people by strengthening the capacity of the South African Government and other local implementing partners who are providing and monitoring prevention programs at the site-, district-, provincial- and national levels. The activities will be implemented in consultation with South African Government, such as the National Department of Basic Education, the National Department of Health, the National Department of Higher Education and Training, the National Department of Social Development, the National Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, and the South African National AIDS Council.
