Building Capacity of the Vietnam Health System through Provision of HIV/AIDS Clinical Care Mentorship and Technical Assistance under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

Grant Amount: Approximate Current Fiscal Year Funding: $1,500,000; Approximate Total Project Period Funding: $5,000,000.
The goal and objectives of the program in Vietnam are to
(1) build capacity of national, regional and provincial institutions within the Vietnamese public health system to provide technical assistance and mentoring for improved HIV/AIDS clinical outcomes; (2) support the national HIV clinical quality improvement (QI) program through targeted technical assistance to the MOH and HIV/AIDS service delivery sites; and (3) to strengthen capacity of Vietnamese public health practitioners to develop and implement high quality HIV/AIDS program evaluation and operations research.
The purpose of this FOA is to provide technical assistance, including training, capacity building, and mentorship to the Vietnam Ministry of Health (MOH) and PEPFAR partners on HIV/AIDS care and treatment and related clinical services.
