Hep B Free Philadelphia

|
Hep B Free Philadelphia is a community owned coalition led by the Hepatitis B Foundation to eliminate local health disparities associated with hepatitis B and liver cancer. Our goals are to improve awareness, screening, vaccination and linkage to care for high-risk underserved communities in Philadelphia. We accomplish this by: Raising the profile of hepatitis B and liver cancer as a public health priority among patients,
health care and human service providers, and the general public within Philadelphia; Promoting the importance of hepatitis B testing and vaccination, particularly among Philadelphia’s Asian communities at greatest risk; and stimulating community engagement and involvement to improve access to care for those affected by chronic hepatitis B infections. With a coalition of over 60 organizations including the Philadelphia Dept. of Health, we have educated over 2,500 individuals, screened over 1,000 and successfully linked individuals with medical care and vaccination.
