3rd Annual National Conference on Health Disparities
Description
Building on its predecessors (Charleston, SC, 2007, and St. Croix, Virgin Islands, 2008), the Third National Conference on Health Disparities will advance the national dialogue on health disparities from recognition of conditions and causes to recommendations and directions for public policy and legislative action.
Among the topics to be addressed are the social determinants of health disparities, such as poverty, education, environmental and climate change; the impact of technology on reducing costs and improving outcomes; the role of community health centers in health care delivery; and the benefits of public/private partnerships in addressing health care issues. |
